How can I find a company's Peppol ID?

Use the Peppol Directory Search to search by company name. You can filter results by country to find registered Peppol participants and discover their Peppol IDs.

What is the difference between ID Lookup and Directory Search?

ID Lookup performs a true SML (Service Metadata Locator) lookup, which is the authoritative way to verify Peppol registrations. When you search for a Peppol ID, Poppel queries the SML in real-time to check if the participant exists and retrieves their current capabilities directly from their SMP (Service Metadata Provider). This gives you live, accurate results in milliseconds.

Directory Search searches the Peppol Directory, which is a voluntary registry. Not all Peppol participants are listed there since registration is optional. Use Directory Search to find companies by name when you don't know their Peppol ID, but always verify with ID Lookup for the most accurate, up-to-date information.
